Colock

As part of my MBA UX-UI (5 years of higher education), we had to create a (fictional) start-up from A to Z.

This was a group project, here is the team I had the pleasure of working with.

User surveys

To ensure our product met market needs, extensive preliminary research was conducted. Complex user surveys, targeting two different demographics, forced us to quickly revise our value proposition. Initially, we wanted to offer a service connecting young people with individuals who had a spare room (preferably older to encourage intergenerational connections), but given the high proportion of negative responses from those with available accommodation, we shifted our focus to a dating app geared towards 18-35 year olds.

Coordination within a team

Creation of a team charter and a pre-mortem. Breakdown of features, versioning, then breakdown and planning of tasks. Finally, implementation of collaborative work tools (ticketing, UI kit...).

Wireframes, models, prototype

Creation of paper wireframes for an initial phase of guerrilla testing. Then digital wireframes, mock-ups, and finally a prototype.

Tests and results

First round of testing at the beginning of the project (transition from screen 1 to 2). Navigation adjustments, initial work on element hierarchy. Color work.

Second round of testing at the end of the project (transition from screen 2 to 3). Final adjustments to the information hierarchy, improved guidance, and integration of security features.

Developments and continuation

Integration of a "Colock Life Management" module (document sharing, to-do lists, etc.) and an apartment search function. The next module would be for finding business partners (agencies, property management companies, etc.). All these modules have been designed and prototyped.
